Nothing in the plan's Task B section turned out to be wrong — the pinned data contract, the hydration mechanism, the CSS variable choices, and the alias import paths (`@docusaurus/useIsBrowser`, `@docusaurus/useGlobalData`, `@docusaurus/router`) all checked out against the actual installed Docusaurus 3.10.2 source (these are webpack-only aliases resolved in `@docusaurus/core/lib/webpack/aliases/index.js`, not real npm packages — worth flagging only because a naive `npm ls` would say they don't exist).</result>

<result>## Report
**Files created (my scope only):**
- `D:\oh-my-posh\website\plugins\segments\index.js`
- `D:\oh-my-posh\website\plugins\segments\data.js`
Deliverable written: `C:\Users\jande\AppData\Local\Temp\claude\D--oh-my-posh\6c0a282a-886f-458d-a426-93d95104b4a6\scratchpad\extracted-descriptions.tsv` (117 lines, `id<TAB>description`, sorted by id).
**Verification run** (against the real `website/plugins/segments/registry.json`, which Task E had already landed by the time I finished — I read it but never wrote to it):
- `total: 117`, no throws.
- Group counts (sum to 117): cli 39, languages 27, system 17, cloud 10, scm 8, web 8, health 5, music 3.
- Auth tiers (sum to 11): oauth 2, cli 2, apikey 4, url 3.
- Battery description extracted correctly: `"Battery displays the remaining power percentage for your battery."` — not the WSL `:::caution` text.
- Alias cases resolved correctly: `golang` → type `go`, `copilot-cli` → type `copilot_cli`.
- Zero descriptions start with `:::`, zero are empty.
**Files that fought the extractor:** Only `system/battery.mdx` has the admonition *before* the real paragraph (the trap the plan called out). I found 12 other files with a `:::caution/:::warning/:::info/:::note` block under `## What` (`cli/gitversion.mdx`, `cli/nbgv.mdx`, `cloud/pulumi.mdx`, `languages/fortran.mdx`, `music/lastfm.mdx`, `music/spotify.mdx`, `system/connection.mdx`, `system/vimode.mdx`, `system/winget.mdx`, `web/carbonintensity.mdx`, `web/owm.mdx`, `web/todoist.mdx`, `web/wakatime.mdx`), but in all of those the admonition comes *after* the real paragraph, so a naive extractor would have accidentally gotten those right — battery is genuinely the only one where naive-first-paragraph fails.
**Plan corrections found:**
- Nothing in the plan's Task A section was wrong. One ambiguity I resolved by inspection: `AUTH_TIERS` in `data.js` must be keyed by **doc id**, not config `type` — confirmed by checking `copilot` (type `copilot`, doc id `copilot`, in `cli` tier) vs `copilot-cli` (type `copilot_cli`, doc id `copilot-cli`, no auth) and `ytm`/`golang`. All 11 curated keys verified to exist as real `.mdx` filenames.
- I initially over-engineered a `.name` override sub-property under `DESCRIPTION_OVERRIDES` that isn't in the pinned contract (which only overrides `description`, not `name`); caught it in review and removed it before finalizing.
**Safeguards implemented per spec:** `readRegistry()` throws a clear message naming `go test ./config/...` as the regeneration command if `registry.json` is missing (no fallback/stub logic committed — verified via `node --check` and `git status` that only my two files plus the pre-existing `registry.json` are present under `website/plugins/segments/`). Cross-checks throw naming offending ids if: a doc has no registry entry, a registry entry has no doc, an `AUTH_TIERS`/`DESCRIPTION_OVERRIDES` key references an unknown doc id, or an auth tier has no label. Frontmatter and `## What` parsing use plain line scanning, no YAML dependency.
Untouched, as required: `website/docusaurus.config.js` and `website/plugins/segments/registry.json` (Task E's file — read-only).</result>

With 117 segments the sidebar was\nthe only index, and it showed nothing until expanded.\n\nAdd /segments: a filterable catalog with search, category and setup facets,\ncarrying live counts that reflect the other active filters. Filter state lives\nin the URL, so a filtered view can be shared or bookmarked.\n\nCards lead with the config type rather than the page title, because the type\nis the string that goes in a config file, and the two differ where it matters\nleast obviously: the Golang page configures type \"go\".\n\nDescriptions come from each doc's own \"## What\" paragraph, so they cannot\ndrift from the documentation. A small override table covers the cases where\nthat paragraph does not survive being lifted out of its page — mostly ones\ndescribing the upstream service rather than the segment.\n\nFacets are limited to what is actually true per segment. Cacheable and async\nwere considered and dropped: cache is a field on every segment and async is a\ntop-level flag, so both would have matched all 117 and filtered nothing.\n\nCo-Authored-By: Claude \u003cnoreply@anthropic.com\u003e\nEOF\ngit log --oneline -1","description":"Commit the catalog"},"name":"Bash","result":{"output":"c0a80d5d feat(website): add a faceted segment catalog","status":"success"},"type":"tool_use"}]}

Centring\nremoves the shared left edge that held the stack together, and the wide gap\nturned five elements into five islands, so the eye had nothing to follow from\nthe heading down to the install command.\n\nLeft-align it and tighten the gap to 1.1rem, cap the heading and subtitle\nmeasure so they read as one block, and give the install cluster slightly more\nroom above it so the two groups separate.\n\nGive the feature panels their border and rounded corners back. The border\ngoes on an inner element because Infima's col--4 uses horizontal padding as\nits gutter, so bordering the column itself makes the cards touch.\n\nThe prompt image sits on a card matching its own baked-in background, with\nthe radius clipping the image rather than framing it in a slightly different\nnavy.\n\nCo-Authored-By: Claude \u003cnoreply@anthropic.com\u003e\nEOF\ngit log --oneline -4 \u0026\u0026 git status --short","description":"Commit docs index and homepage"},"name":"Bash","result":{"output":"9f482abc feat(website): restore the hero rhythm and card treatment\n6a0f1380 docs(website): point the segment index at the catalog\nc0a80d5d feat(website): add a faceted segment catalog\nc9a64328 test(config): assert the segment registry matches the docs","status":"success"},"type":"tool_use"}]}

Directions B (dark-first,\n15\tpowerline-chevron geometry) and C (dark studio) were rejected as whole visual systems;\n16\tonly their structural ideas carry over.\n17\t\n18\tCompanion architecture decision, same session: the theme/segment previews stop being\n19\tPNGs. `cli/image/image.go` (920 lines, plus `gg` / `stackblur` / `x/image` / `freetype`\n20\tand a runtime Hack.zip download) gets replaced by an **SVG encoder** sitting behind an\n21\textracted run stream in the `terminal` package — sibling to the ANSI encoder, not a\n22\tconsumer of its output. No JSON encoder: SVG carries `data-segment` / `data-block`\n23\tattributes, so it already is the structured format. Net ≈ 1,500 lines, so it ships in\n24\tthe normal binary rather than behind a build tag.\n25\t\n26\tAgreed staging: golden-file harness over all 124 bundled themes → extract run stream\n27\t(ANSI byte-identical, benchstat clean) → SVG encoder → Function renders config to SVG\n28\twith a pinned data file → delete `cli/image/` → `?format=png` via resvg for GitHub\n29\tREADMEs → WASM only if studio latency demands it.\n30\t\n31\t**Why:** the redesign and the renderer work are the same project — the gallery, the\n32\tsegment catalog and the studio all consume one renderer, so the visual direction and the\n33\tencoder decision constrain each other.\n34\t\n35\t**How to apply:** when website or imager work resumes, treat Direction A as settled and\n36\tdo not re-pitch dark-first. Filter state in the URL. Cards lead with the config `type`, not the page title, because that's the string you actually put in a config, and the two diverge exactly where it's least obvious: the Golang page configures `type: \"go\"`.\n\nDescriptions come from each doc's own `## What` paragraph, so they can't drift. 20 overrides cover the ones that don't survive being lifted out of their page — mostly paragraphs describing the upstream service rather than the segment (`strava` was a 299-character essay about bike training).\n\n**The homepage.** Your read was right, and the cause was specific: Direction A's hero was left-aligned with a 1.1rem gap; Phase 1 shipped it centred at 2rem. Verified in the live page — all five hero children now share `left: 78`, so there's a spine to follow from heading to install command. Cards are back at 9px radius with a theme-split fill.\n\n**Verified in a real browser, not from agent reports:** 117 cards server-render unfiltered (SEO + Algolia), zero console output on `/segments?group=cloud\u0026q=azure` — no hydration warning — filters restored from the URL, auth tag at **10.54:1** in both themes, image wrapper at `rgb(23,52,72)` matching `hero.png` exactly.\n\n**Two things I got wrong that the review caught:**\n\n1. I told you the Nerd Font facet was fictional. My scan only looked for literal PUA characters; this repo writes them as `\\uXXXX` escapes. It's real — 28 of 117 — and it shipped.\n2. My guard would have run nowhere. `code.yml` ignores `website/**` and `docs.yml` only fires on push to `main`, so a Go PR adding a segment would have broken a later deploy instead. Moving it to Go also killed the Go-source regex parsing and the cross-boundary read the Azure SWA build couldn't do reliably. I proved it by adding a bogus segment — it fails, names the offender, and rewrites the JSON for you.\n\nTwo smaller things I changed after the agents finished: the description extractor was leaving shortcut reference links intact (`[Umbraco]` on 9 cards), and the catalog rendered \"Segment data is not available\" if the plugin went missing — now a build failure, since a quiet apology in production is worse than a stopped deploy.\n\nStill open from the sequence: the renderer, the themes gallery, the docs restructure, the studio. The renderer is the one that needs a different posture — it touches the prompt hot path, so the gate is byte-identical ANSI plus a clean benchstat, and it shouldn't be delegated the way these were.","type":"text"}]}
